Description
This photograph was made at sunrise at the Frisco Pier on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The pier has since been destroyed by a hurricane. It was in a dilapidated state of repair anyway. So, this is a historical photograph.
It was very early one morning when I made this series of photographs. I positioned myself in one of the shadows created by the rising sun and that caused the shadows of the pier's supports is elongate, creating the effect that I wanted.
