Memphis Skyline under Bridges Kids T-Shirt

This photograph of the Memphis Tennessee skyline from the Mississippi River was made from under the three bridges. One of the bridges carries a railroad, another carries vehicles along Interstate 55. The one mile long pedestrian walkway called the "Big River Crossing" is also built attached to the old Harahan bridge, the railroad bridge.

I have been shooting pictures since high school when I purchased a used twin-lens reflex camera from a teacher. Since that time I have maintained an interest in photographing places and things. Several years ago I began writing travel articles for various magazines and newspapers. That provided the opportunity to visit many scenic and unusual places. It has made me realize how beautiful the United States, and particularly my home state of Tennessee, is. My techniques are simple. Nothing fancy. That would probably detract from the work's intended purpose. I have used several formats: 35mm, 6 x 7, and now digital. From the resulting images for art shows, I select the most appealing.
